Title
Beckons For Thai Restaurant |
Surin Restaurant
is a Finalist in the Kent Business Awards for Corporate Social
Responsibility for its efforts to try and become a Green Tourism
restaurant, and develop its community projects in Ramsgate and its
Surin Village School Charity to build schools in Asia, Africa and
South America.
The
restaurant, which serves Thai, Laotian and Camboduan dishes, has been
featured in this year's Lonely Planet Guidebook to England which said
that Surin was: "the best Thai food this side of the Hindu
Kush and...this darling little restaurant delivers&ldots; (great
food) &ldots;only a dumpling's throw from the seafront".
They are also
hoping that their 2 microbeers and 4 curry sauces will be expanded
due to popular demand and are being considered for distribution by
the main supermarkets.
Ramsgate also
had a great review in the Guidebook: "more welcoming than
jaded big sis Margate and livelier than twee little neighbour
Broadstairs, Ramsgate is the kind of varied and often quirky little
resort town that can appeal to all ages. With Blue Flag beaches,
cosmopolitan bars and rich maritime history and neo-Georgian
architecture with a terrific tourism centre."
