Ovens' Valoriani Wood Burning Ovens Officially Come Clean!
After more
than two years of rigorous testing by DEFRA, Lancashire-based Orchard
Ovens has become the first UK-based wood-burning oven supplier and
installer to be awarded an official exemption under the Clean Air
Exemption Certificate. |

The
certificate gives the company the all clear to install its Valoriani
Italian wood-burning ovens in smokeless zones for the first time.
That means the company's ovens can now officially be used
commercially and domestically anywhere in the UK subject to standard
health, safety and planning guidelines.
And the range
is also the first declared to have 100% better heat retention and
superior fuel efficiency than any other wood-fired oven ever tested -
in more than 10 years of testing.

always knew our ovens were cleaner-burning and more efficient than
any other on the market - and now we have the official proof. This is
great news for Orchard Ovens but even better news for any restaurant

The new
exemption has repercussions for the commercial domestic appliance
industry too. For the first time, wood-burning ovens can now go head
to head with their gas burning counterparts - potentially saving
restaurant owners thousands of pounds.
Andrew adds,
"We can install our ovens for thousands of pounds less than an
equivalent-spec gas-burning oven. That's a fact! And for anyone who
still isn't seduced by the charm and efficiency of our wood-fired
ovens, we can even advise on retaining the option of a future
conversion to gas giving customers the best of both worlds - only
never at the same time!"
Orchard Oven
installations can be viewed by arrangement at commercial venues
throughout the UK including London, Home Counties, Yorkshire,
Lancashire, East Anglia and Northamptonshire. Valoriani Ovens have
been used for years in some of the world's best restaurants including
Chez Panisse in California and L'Artista in Finchley. One Valoriani
oven in London has been in daily use since 1995.
The clean air
exemption certificate award follows recent high profile domestic oven
installations for a series of international celebrities including
Gwyneth Paltrow and Jamie Oliver. Jamie Oliver also recommended the
company in his latest best selling book 'Jamie Oliver's Italy'.
