New Experiences Bring Pub And Bar To Life

 

Two real-life working pubs will take centre stage at this year's Pub and Bar 2006, brought to you by The Publican at Olympia from April 11 to 13.

Visitors to the Show will be able to drop into a community pub and a gastropub each one showcasing the best design and working practices of the best pubs across the country.

Pub and Bar 2006 will be focusing on the needs of today's licensee and will provide a series of fun "experiences" designed to educate and provide visitors with practical ideas to take back to their businesses. With over 200 suppliers Pub and Bar really is the must attend event for everyone in the pub industry.

The Beer Festival
A real life festival, complete with all the advice and information on how to organise one in a pub.

With a host of cask beers to sample and a working cellar pick up tips from the experts on how to serve the perfect pint and also make a profit. In the beer garden there will be a series of talks and tastings relating to beer and the business opportunities it offers.

The Drinks Experience Theatre
Offering educational training and tastings on a wide range of drinks from wine and water to cocktails - plus, tutored tastings focusing on various spirit categories including gin, vodka and whisky.

The 3663 Food Experience Theatre
Gives licensees the chance to learn about profitable new menu ideas while being actively involved in the cooking. Visitors can pick up innovative meal solutions from industry chefs as well as inspirational tips on making a regular meal into a quality customer dining experience.

The Entertainment Zone
Where visitors can have fun testing out products first hand - from traditional games to the latest modern technology and discover the opportunities surrounding this year's football world cup.

The Outdoor Experience
With a smoking ban approaching fast, the show will offer three real-life examples of how to make the most of a pub's outdoor areas. Pick up tips from the UK BBQ team, watch the British Champion at work and try out a range of furniture and games. Also find out about all the opportunities with soft drinks in a continental drinking area. 	

BII Live
Visitors have the opportunity to discover more about the range of membership benefits offered by the BII. Advice and information will be available first hand from BII experts.
