New Turkey Recipe DVD

Caterers now have no excuse for not putting turkey on the menu all year round. A new DVD showing the variety of cuts, recipe ideas and enormous potential of turkey is being sent free to more than 1000 chefs.

The DVD, produced by the British Turkey industry, looks at quality and provenance, both hot issues with caterers. Kim Burgess, Chairman, Publicity & Marketing Committee for British Turkey said, "More and more customers want to know where the food on their plate comes from. When it comes to turkey, the Quality British Turkey mark sets the standard and means diners can enjoy their turkey with confidence. British Turkey recommend chefs and caterers use the Quality British Turkey mark on menus to show customers they only buy British."

Burgess continued, "Turkey is widely featured on caterers' menu at Christmas but other cuts such as steaks, mince, cubed and stir fry strips should be considered for stir fries, pies, salads or even curries."

The DVD includes six versatile recipes - Turkey & Mushroom Pasta Bake; Turkey Francese; Spicy Turkey Tacos; Turkey & Coconut Korma; Rosti Topped Turkey Pie and Turkey Roast Crown Roast.
