Kitchen Guru Curries Favour With Expo

Kitchen Guru, an innovative concept in the home cook Indian meals market, created an international buzz when they exhibited at Food and Drink Expo 2006. The Yorkshire company came away with top prize in the Ideas to Dine for 2006 awards for their clever spice packs, designed to make even a novice cook a curry expert.

The award comes just a week after Kitchen Guru was named best small exporter at the UK Trade and Investment Awards.

The Kitchen Guru brand introduces a new concept to the sector: its ready-prepared spice and recipe packs guide buyers through cooking authentic Asian meals at home - no measuring, no waste, no jars hanging around in cupboards; just the ingredients and the advice you need to cook real Indian food.

The awards were judged by an impressive panel of experts, including celebrity chef Jean Christophe Novelli, Daily Telegraph food writer Rose Prince and Waitrose regional buyer Graham Cassie.
