Curry Feeds Fairtrade Flame

A chef has unveiled a special curry created to help promote fair trade across the world.

The "Fairtrade Fire Eater" is the brainchild of chef Kashmir Singh, of the India Quay restaurant in Glasgow. Singh was set the challenge of making the dish using only Fairtrade produce by charity Oxfam.

The charity is helping launch Fairtrade Fortnight which kicks off on Monday. Events will take place across Scotland and the rest of the UK to highlight the need for people to consider what they buy and the conditions under which items are made.
