Indian Ocean Turns Up The Heat For The NSPCC

The award winning Indian Ocean restaurant is set to spice-up fundraising in Ashton with a fabulous evening of fine food and entertainment.

The Stamford Street eatery will host the Dinner at the restaurant on Thursday 10th April at 7.15pm. A drinks reception & canapés will greet guests followed by a 5 course dinner including, popadoms, a mixed starter platter, a selection of some of the Indian Ocean's classic curries an Indian desert and coffee. Guests will then be invited to take part in a charity raffle with prizes and luxury gifts on offer. Finally guests will be able to relax in the bar with live entertainment and dancing.

Tickets for the event are £25 and numbers are limited. Tickets are available from the Indian Ocean on 0161 343 3343.

Tameside businesses are also being encouraged to follow the Indian Ocean's lead and get involved in the event either through sponsorship, supplying raffle tickets or buying tickets for the event.

The owner of the Indian Ocean, Nahim Aslam explains what inspired him to plan the event, "Being a father I'm aware more now than ever, how important charities like the NSPCC are. Also I think it's really important for local businesses to give something back to the local community."

NSPCC's community fundraising manager for Tameside, Deborah Sefton said: "As a Tameside resident I think it's great that a local business is going to such lengths to support us. The Indian Ocean is doing a fantastic job of helping to raise money and recognition of the NSPCC and I hope more people will follow their lead.

"We do have a small, active fundraising group in Mossley and other individual supporters dotted around the area, but I would like to get one or two new groups started here and raise more awareness of the NSPCC for local children and families."
