Following the sell-out success of his 'Curries & Cocktails'
ladies lunch to raise funds for The Prince and Princess of Wales
Hospice in Glasgow, charitable Curry King Charan Gill MBE plans to
host a series of events to raise funds for good causes at Slumdog Bar
& Kitchen.
Secret Millionaire Mr Gill said, "I've always believed
passionately in the principle of giving something back to the
community, which is why I like to get involved personally in
supporting a number of charities.
"That's why I'm issuing an open invitation to anyone involved in
fundraising to come to Slumdog to host their special event. We have
extensive experience of organising successful fundraising events and,
together, we can make a real difference to the lives of people in need."
Over the years Mr Gill has become renowned for his many charitable
works. He recently helped raise over £40,000 to establish Scotia
Farm, a small water buffalo dairy farm in a remote village of the
Punjab in India to provide free milk to 400 needy families every day.
And for the past eleven years he has hosted The Hottest Night of the
Year, the legendary annual celebration of all that's best in the
worlds of showbiz, sport, politics and business in Glasgow which has
raised more than £1 million for charity.
Slumdog opened last October with a pledge from Mr Gill to feed
someone from India's slums for every customer who dines at the eatery
throughout its first month of opening.
Slumdog is located at 410 Sauchiehall Street. Fundraisers can log
