Familia
Zuccardi, one of Argentina's most innovative fine wine exporters and
the first Argentine winery to launch a vineyard restaurant open 365
days a year, has become a founding member of Best of Mendoza, www.bestofmendoza.com,
a twelve member organisation helping tourists to discover the foods
and wines of Mendoza.

Alberto Zuccardi, Managing Director of Familia Zuccardi, comments:

success of our vineyard restaurant, which seats 80 people, showed us
the potential for tourism in the Mendoza region and we are delighted
to be part of this marketing campaign, which is a first for Argentina.

City; hotels and lodges in vineyards and in ski resorts, with top
class foods; a wine therapy spa offering grape-based treatments

Familia
Zuccardi's restaurant in their Maipu vineyards, a half hour from
Mendoza City, has already attracted over 8000 guests from eighteen
countries in the last twelve months and is a popular destination
restaurant for Argentines too. All of their chefs are from local
families, so asados and simple regional foods are key, including
their own olive oil; but the Zuccardis also bring in top chefs from
Buenos Aires to teach their own chefs new techniques and new dishes,
reflecting their passion for quality and innovation - as practiced in
their vineyards.
"We have
our own vine nursery as well," comments Jose Albert Zuccardi,
"growing over forty grape varieties, many of them new to
Argentina. This means that UK tourists, in addition to tasting our
Santa Julia and Zuccardi 'Q' ranges, can also act as pioneers in
tasting what could well be Argentina's grape varieties of the future".
