Blue Nun Launch Latest Variety Pinot Grigio At This Year's LIWSF

BLUE NUN announced the launch of its latest UK line extension at this year's London International Wine and Spirit Fair on the Ehrmanns stand, No F20-G20. The addition of a Pinot Grigio to Blue Nun's portfolio marks another stage in its exciting three year re-launch strategy; designed specifically to target younger female drinkers, and more generally to offer a greater choice of easy drinking varieties from around the world including its native Germany.

Blue Nun Pinot Grigio has a good acidity and freshness, accompanied by soft fruit, great length and plenty of weight and concentration. It is a crisp, creamy, honeyed white wine from the Rheinpfalz region, and fits perfectly into the existing Blue Nun UK range, which includes Blue Nun Riesling and Blue Nun original Qba also from Germany, Blue Nun Rosé from Spain and Blue Nun Merlot from France.

Armin Wagner, Marketing Director of Blue Nun brand owner, Langguth commented, "The decision to add a Pinot Grigio to our portfolio has been reached in response to demand as Blue Nun's popularity increases.

This year we are celebrating the most successful decade in the brand's history and believe that this is down to Blue Nun's core consumer trusting us to deliver a range of reasonably priced, well made, easy drinking wines from Germany as well as other countries around the world.

We also feel that the addition of this popular wine style, coupled with the latest packaging and Stelvin closures introduced across the range will greatly increase its appeal to our target market of 18-25 year old women experimenting with wine".
