Bombay
Pilsner originally launched in UK in 2005 but has now been relaunched
as "the only preservative-free, unpasteurised premium beer for
Indian food".
The 5% ABV
beer was borne out of the owners desire to create a genuine
alternative to the major brands in the Indian sector. Award winning
Thwaites Brewery in Blackburn was chosen to brew Bombay Pilsner to
its traditional Indian recipe as well as taking care of the bottling
and labelling. Reaction amongst restaurants has already been
excellent with over 400 restaurants nationwide already signing up.
Bombay Pilsner
MD Sanjay Thakrar commented "We have taken our time making sure
that the product is perfect. Until now, we have experience immense
ambient growth, driven by consumer demand, but we are now ready to
take Bombay Pilsner to the next level. We aim to educate the public
and the Indian restaurant trade of a genuine alternative; indeed its
preservative-free production process will ensure that it is the
rising star of the beer world in 2006."
