Honesty Is Alive And Well ! Honesty is alive and well - at least in Leicester it is. A customer went into the Nila Palace Indian restaurant in London Road, Leicester recently and unfortunately placed his wallet on the table where it got caught up with the table cloth and he walked out of the restaurant forgetting all about it. When the table cloths were shaken out for washing, the wallet fell free and waiters discovered over £4000 in cash in it, plus a couple of credit cards - but no contact details. Some might have been tempted - but not the Nila team, who were able to present the distraught man with his wallet intact when he came back to the restaurant, on the offchance he had left it there. The customer was so appreciative that he left £250 to share amongst the staff - showing honesty most definitely pays!   top
