Gin Proves Unbeatable At World Spirits Competition |
Maxxium
UK's Plymouth Gin has swept the boards at one of the world's most
influential spirits competitions, further consolidating its position
as one of the leading premiums gins in the world.
Plymouth Gin
took the premium awards by storm at the San Francisco World Spirits
Competition, winning a double gold medal in the gin category: Best of
Show in the gin category and the coveted Best of Show for overall
white spirit with its unique smooth taste.
Victoria
Bowstead, Maxxium UK brand manager for Plymouth Gin, said: "This
accolade confirms the brand's position as a first-class premium gin
with a great smooth taste. Plymouth Gin is a unique blend of seven
hand-selected botanicals, with soft Dartmoor water and the highest
quality grain spirit. These are the qualities that ensure Plymouth
Gin has a smooth, balanced taste unlike any other."
Plymouth Gin's
smooth, superior taste is reflected in the recently launched new
bottle design. The art deco bottle is reminiscent of the 1920s and
1930s, an era famed for the cocktail lifestyle and love of Plymouth
Gin, the leading and most famous gin of the time.
The original
Dry Martini recipe called not just for gin but insisted on Plymouth
Gin. In 1925, Plymouth Gin secured its status as the connoisseur's
gin of choice when it was used as the featured gin in 'The Savoy
Cocktail Book' by Henry Craddock, Head Bartender at The Savoy's
American Bar. Plymouth Gin continues to be the pouring gin at this
world famous bar to this day.
