The
tastiest event in town captured imaginations 2 summers ago,
attracting over 40,000 visitors . This August 2007 during bank
holiday weekend from Saturday 25th to Monday 27th Mudita Trust will
be spicing up Secretts again with a more spectacular than ever
Amazing Thailand Festival.
Mudita Trust
is a UK registered charity supporting the secondary education of
children from some of the poorest villages in Thailand, preventing
them from child prostitution, using education as a tool in helping
them to make more informed decisions about their future.

The 6th
Amazing Thailand Festival is being held at Secretts, Milford, Surrey
with the theme of Bangkok and The Central Plains (north and west of
Bangkok) in mind including the famous 'Floating Market'. This year's
spectacular annual 3 day event will provide an exciting opportunity
for everyone to learn more about Thailand and its culture. |
|
The festival
will be blessed by Buddhist monks in the traditional Thai opening
ceremony then officially opened at 11:00 am. 30 food stalls will then
be showcasing traditional Thai dishes, prepared on the spot by chefs
from several Thai restaurants in London and beyond. |
 |
|
 |
Visitors will
have the chance to taste a vast range of delectable Thai dishes
including Tom-Yum, Mu-Ping, Curries, Aromatic Salads and the famous
stir-fried noodle dish, Pad-Thai and many more. For the sweeter
palate, tempting delicate desserts, exotic fruit juices and herbal
drinks will also be available with on site restaurants and
supermarket stalls supplying all the ingredients for a Thai feast at
home. For those who may have a thirst for something a little heavier
than just a fruit juice&ldots;..yes, varieties of Thai beers and Thai
wines will be available in a beer tent or at their specific locations
around the site.
|
 |
In addition,
cooking demonstrations, Thai handicraft and fruit carving
demonstrations will astonish and impress, while raffles with
spectacular prizes, and wishing tree with guaranteed prizes for all,
will also create a fun and festive atmosphere.
Over 50 craft
stalls, panniers and boats (floating market style) will be joining in
the fun this year displaying Thai silks, cottons, handicrafts and
fresh orchids, scattered all over the site. Visitors to the authentic
Thai market will be greeted by shoulder masseurs, pannier sellers and
fortune tellers. |
Travel agents,
a Thai property developer and a world class spa will also join us to
make this coming Amazing Thailand an event for all. Moreover,
glittering performances of Thai national dances, live Jazz solo,
traditional musical band and martial art displays will be staged each
afternoon culminating in the enchanting Loy Krathong (festival of
light) ceremony on Monday evening.
Without a
doubt a visit to the Amazing Thailand Festival 2007 is the most
entertaining way for families and friends, in fact anyone with a
taste for the exotic to spend a bank holiday weekend.
