Alisan Announces
Bento Box Lunches

Special offer of four dishes for only £5.50

The award-winning Alisan Restaurant & Bar, adjacent to Wembley Stadium and Wembley Arena, which has established itself with connoisseurs of fine Cantonese and dim sum dining, is now serving special offer Bento box lunches offering a selection of 4 sumptuous items from choice of 25 dishes for only £5.50.

A bento is a type of lunchbox that is very popular in Taiwan with origins that can be traced back to 12th century Japan. A bento is a meal packed at home or a 'takeaway' common in Japanese and Taiwanese (Chinese) cuisine. A traditional bento consists of rice, meat or fish and one cooked or pickled vegetable.

In Japan, it is considered an essential skill of a Japanese housewife to be able to prepare an appealing bento boxed lunch. The food is often arranged in such a way as to resemble objects such as flowers, leaves and dolls.

Commenting on the new additions to the menu, Alisan director Colin Wong said, "The restaurant is highly popular with concert goers and sports fans visiting the area, the well-heeled and business clients with expense accounts, but we also wanted to appeal to local office workers on a budget in and around Wembley Retail Park.
