Marche UK
- Taking The Market By Storm

From within Paradise Possible, the organization which has been promoting everything about Le Marche for over 10 years via its website www.paradisepossible.com, emerges Marche UK, a new company with the mission of taking Le Marche region of central Italy, literally to the world.

Giving niche producers a presence on an international platform by sharing facilities and operations in the UK, Marche UK combines their individual strengths into a critical mass, thus overcoming barriers of scale even for small orders. Marche UK is not an importer, but a company which embodies the direct presence of its producers in the market, by making the artisan and gastronomic traditions of Le Marche available in the UK.

Market manager Giovanni Tasco, the face of Marche UK, is the main point of contact between the producers, customers and partners. He is dedicated to promoting the people, the places and the companies, so that each product is fully appreciated by potential customers through tastings, workshops and other promotional activities.

Appealing to restaurants and hotels alike, as well as to pubs and bars, these artisan food and wine products are gathered in 'The Collection', a compendium presenting the offerings of the first 20 speciality producers selected for the quality, uniqueness and genuineness of their ranges, and including over 200 lines.

PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS

New on the market is La Pasta di Aldo, a pasta which outstripped all others in a tasting by Michelin-star chef Heston Blumenthal of the Fat Duck, who, in his book 'In Search of Perfection' said that this is 'perhaps the finest pasta in Italy' - now available here through Marche UK. Created and developed in a basement by a husband and wife duo, for each pasta shape a different mixture of semolina is used. The dough is hand-kneaded and then hung on racks to dry slowly at a low temperature for outstanding results.

Bruco's Chocolate filled with a drop of extra virgin olive oil, Salumificio del Conero's Ciauscolo - an amazingly soft salami - Pecorino di Fossa - cheese specially matured in caves - Bedetti's 'Ugly but Good' cookies and Spelt and lemon cookies, Bosco D'Oro's Truffle cream, Azienda Agraria del Carmine's Ascolana and Aromatic oils, not to mention wines such as Rosso Conero, the trendy and sought after Lacrima di Morro D'Alba and Vernaccia di Serrapetrona are just some of the many speciality foods and drinks from Le Marche waiting to be discovered.

Sloping down from the Apennines to the Adriatic sea across the gentle hills of the countryside, this is a region offering, within a small territory, everything one would expect from Italy. Perfect harmony between nature, culture and society, deep-rooted links with tradition, and a passion for simple yet skilfully made dishes from authentic recipes. The quality and genuineness of the many unusual and delicious products are at the basis of the excellence of the region's food and wine. It is this excellence that Marche UK is taking to the world.
