Empanadas,
the popular street food in South America, have arrived in the U.K.
and can be ordered directly from Pampas Plains.
Malcolm Harris the founder of
Pampas Plains comments "The gauchos originally used the
pastry as a means of storing their meat whilst out on horseback. Over
time the product evolved to have cooked meat inside and then other ingredients."
Empanadas are a labour free
tasty snack, a light lunch or an easy supper with a difference. Give
a taste of South America to your dinner party and serve empanadas as
a starter. There are two vegetarian options as well as beef and
chicken varieties."
Made from hand rolled puff pastry
and generously packed with a choice of 6 different fillings,
Empanadas from Pampas Plains are made in Argentina from original
South American recipes. Choose from Beef/Olive/Raisin, Spicy Beef,
Chunky Beef, Chicken and Herb, Cheese and Onion and Ricotta and Swiss
Chard. Each flavour comes in packs of 3 for £3.75.
