Jamie
Oliver has confirmed plans to open a second London outpost of his
Jamie's Italian restaurant chain in Covent Garden next year.
The
opening will be the seventh UK branch of Oliver's informal,
mid-market restaurant chain following its launch in Oxford last June.
It will serve the same 'affordable and accessible' menu of antipasti,
pastas and traditional Italian grills and salads and continue the
chain's no bookings policy.
The
Covent Garden site will launch next summer, following the opening of
the first London branch at Canary Wharf Mall this autumn. They will
both join Jamie's Italian branches located in Cardiff (to open in
November), Bath, Kingston and Brighton.
Oliver's
expanding business empire led to him being listed in the Sunday
Times Rich List as the top earning TV chef in the UK, with a personal
fortune of £40m.
