its profile in the UK and this becomes increasingly important as the

ads stress the brand's provenance and reiterate that it is a genuine
import. For the first time Tusker will be placed on UK TV at live
Twenty20 matches and also Pro 40 matches, plus the televised One Day
International between England and Australia. appearing on Sky Sports
Peter Karsten, Marketing Director for Tusker in the UK enthuses:
"Our research has shown that our drinkers are an adventurous
bunch and the demographic of the Tusker drinker in the UK fits in
very well with the Barmy Army profile. Tusker is the perfect clean
crisp lager to enjoy whilst sitting back and watching sport with friends."
Champions Twenty20 cricket is a unique form of the game which was
first introduced in the UK in 2003 by the England and Wales Cricket
Board. Many people view Twenty20 cricket as being more exciting than
the "regular" game because slightly different rules make it
much faster. A typical game is approximately three hours; each team
has just one innings of no more than 20 over's, which lasts around 75
minutes. Like Tusker, Twenty20 is innovative and exciting and new to
the UK.
The NatWest Pro40 League, is the one day cricket league for
first-class cricket counties in England and Wales. With each team
having one innings of 40 over's each. It was inaugurated in 1999, but
was essentially the old 'Sunday League', retitled to reflect the fact
that large numbers of matches are now played on days other than
Sunday. It will offer Tusker a fantastic platform to further promote
the brand.
Tusker is a premium genuine imported lager that has won numerous gold
medals at the prestigious "Monde Selection" international
beer awards. Tusker is brewed using the highest quality equatorial
malted barley grown at the base of Mount Kenya and in the Kenyan Rift
Valley and the pure waters from the Aberdare Mountains. It is a crisp
and clean tasting lager making it a great thirst quencher as well as
the ideal accompaniment to food. It is also hoped that the UK's taste
for the exotic will now be quenched.
Tusker's heritage dates back to 1922. It is loved by East African's
and has become part of the rich regional fabric. Tusker lager is
named in memory of the brewery's founder George Hurst, who was killed
by a rogue elephant in 1923 . The iconic elephant logo and
distinctive black and gold colouring are sure to make this brand
stand out from the crowd when the new advertisements are featured on TV. |
