Ginger
& Orange Oldfashioned
This
is the ultimate holiday party cocktail. |
Ingredients:

Woodford
Reserve Bourbon |
|
15ml |
simple syrup |
|
1 |
orange slice |
|
1 |
cocktail
cherry without the stem |
|
2 dashes |
Angostura Bitters |
|
1 piece |
fresh
ginger the size of two pound coins stacked together |

30ml |
Perrier water |
Preparation:
Prepare an old
fashioned glass by frosting the rim with a mix of powdered ginger and
sugar (4 parts sugar to one part powdered ginger) Mash the fruit and
the ginger in the bottom of a shaker glass with the Angostura Bitters
and the syrup. Add the whiskey and shake well with ice. Strain into
an old fashioned glass filled with ice and top with the Perrier. Stir
and garnish with and orange slice and a cocktail cherry.
