Ingredients:

fresh, lean
minced British beef |

onion,
peeled and sliced |

400g/14oz |
can red
kidney beans, drained and rinsed |

200g/7oz |
can baked beans |

5ml/1 tsp |
chilli powder |

salt to taste |

150ml/¼

beef stock |

15ml/1 tbsp |
cornflour,
blended with 30ml/2 tbsp cold water |
Method:
Put the mince
into a cold non-stick saucepan without adding fat and heat gently
until some fat runs out.
Add the onion
and increase the heat. Continue to cook until the mince is brown and
the onion softened.
Stir in the
rest of the ingredients except the blended cornflour.
Bring to the
boil, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
Add the
blended cornflour and cook, stirring, until thickened.

Serve with jacket potatoes
