Roberts of
Port Dinorwic Ltd had to take on extra staff at the start of the year
to cope with demand for its line of Cumberland sausages when sales
went through the roof. Now the company, which manufactures a range of
meat recipe dishes, is experiencing growing demand for the rest of
its sausage product line up which includes black pudding and apple
flavour, and a spicy sausage and white bean casserole.
The North
Wales based company is one of the country's leading manufacturers of
meat based recipe dishes supplied to hotels, bars and restaurants as
well as meat components for ready meals supplied to food processors.
Its sausages have a first class reputation and are so popular that
people ask for them by name!
All Roberts'
products are made from top quality ingredients and, as part of its
commitment to customers, several years ago product recipes were
adapted to include lower levels of salt and take out any unnecessary additives
Trading
director Miriam Roberts said: "Our sausage range has always
been popular and demand is continuing to grow as we develop new
ideas. We try to introduce new flavours based on market trends to
meet what consumers want. For example our spicy sausage and white
bean casserole uses spicy Toulouse sausage and a mix of beans in a
recipe similar to a traditional French cassoulet.
This
appeals to many because it combines a traditional favourite in a new
and interesting way and although some consumers are happy with more
traditional recipes, others like to try something different."
Other dishes
on offer include a tasty sausage and bacon wrap, and a range of
meatballs in a variety of flavours and sauces - all incorporating
only the best quality ingredients and Roberts' traditional know-how
and expertise developed by over 80 years as a leader in the food industry.
Dishes can be
supplied cooked or raw, chilled or frozen and are easy to prepare,
with the minimum of skill needed to create an excellent end result.
Summarizing
Miriam Roberts said: "Our new product development team is
always working to develop exciting recipe ideas to offer the best

offer something unique."
