Wine+
Gathers Momentum For Year Two

Following its successful launch in January, Wine+ is gearing up for a second year with new exhibitors and a programme of events that reinforces its importance as the only dedicated on-trade event in the UK. Wine buyers for restaurants, hotels, pubs/bars and catering outfits will all benefit from visiting whether they are in need of expert advice, networking opportunities or new ideas.

New for 2008 will be the inclusion of selected spirits and water brands. Visitor research at the inaugural Wine+ clearly demonstrated that visitors wanted to see premium spirits and other relevant brands. San Pellegrino (Nestle Waters), Fiji Water, Eaux de Vie and J Wray & Nephew will be among the first to show their products alongside wines.

Wine+ 2008 will be considerably larger incorporating two central Taste Zones, the popular Live Theatre and Business Clinic in addition to more stands. The French Wines Discovery Lounge at Wine+ will enable visitors to do business in an informal area, taste French wines at the wine bar or relax and plan their day.

New exhibitors for 2008 include Pol Roger, Laurent Perrier UK, Cordorniu, Las Bodegas, Lea & Sandeman, New Zealand Winegrowers, Thresher Group, Viniportugal, Wines of Australia and the Wine Institute of California. Returning exhibitors include Louis Latour, armit, FGL Wine Estates, Nyetimber, Novum Wines and Wine Treasury.

Highlights of Wine+ 2008 include:

Taste Zones
Generic organisations Wines of Chile, New Zealand Winegrowers, Wine Institute of California, ViniPortugal and Wines of Australia will be presenting a selection of wines available to the on-trade. The Taste Zones offer visitors the opportunity to evaluate and taste wines independent of a sales pitch. Staff on the zones will be able to discuss the wines with visitors whilst generic promotional support will be available to help increase sales in their establishments.

Live Theatre
Sponsored by Steelite Tableware and Spiegelau Stemware
Food and wine pairing will be the focus of the Live Theatre for Wine+ 2008 with luminaries such as John Radford, Nicolas Clerc - 2007 UK Sommelier of the Year and Patricia Michelson of La Fromagerie all taking centre stage to explore new food and wine trends.

Business Clinic
With a clear focus on helping visitors make more money from wine sales, the Wine+ Business Clinic will again host keynote speakers including Eileen Ginger, Whitbread; Gerard Basset, TerraVina; Xavier Rousset, Texture; Robin Knapp, Matthew Clark and leading wine consultant, Peter McCombie MW.

The French Wines Discovery Lounge at Wine+
Join French Wines as they demystify the traditional view of French wines showing instead the innovation and excitement that is taking France to a new level. The French Wines Discovery Lounge is the best starting point at Wine+ where you can plan your visit in a relaxing environment and see the very best that French Wines has to offer.

Premium Partner Presentations
Premium partners - Berkmann Wine Cellars, Enotria World Wine, Matthew Clark, E&J Gallo Winery, HBJ Wines & Spirits, French Wines and Waverley TBS - will be hosting special events, tastings and talks in the exclusive Premium Partner area.

Wine+ is dedicated to showcasing wines and spirits available to the on-trade from hand-selected suppliers. The event aims to help visitors make more money from wine sales through a comprehensive education and networking programme incorporating keynote speakers.

Wine+ takes place in the National Hall, Olympia on 16 and 17 January 2008. For further information and free, advance registration visit www.wineplus.co.uk
