Spaghetti House Launches
The Christmas 'Tavolata'

With an early Christmas greeting of 'Buon Appetito and Happy Partying', Spaghetti House, London's best loved, Italian restaurant group, introduces a fresh new idea to enjoy the upcoming festive season. Just like in Italy, where the traditional party is called 'la tavolata' literally translated 'the long table', this informal, joyous way to dine is coming to Spaghetti House. Instead of being individually ordered, dishes from the Christmas menu are served in larger portions and placed in the middle of the table to graze and share amidst the party.

Priced at a keen £20 per person and available from 17 November for a minimum of 10 people, La Tavolata includes a welcoming glass of Prosecco, bread and olives, three starters served together, four main courses served together, and two desserts also served together, for a total of nine dishes - a real feast, Italian style, at credit crunch prices.

The menu is varied and includes vegetarian options to please everyone, from Antipasto Misto of Mozzarella and Roasted Vegetables to Affettato Piemontese, a tasty and generous cured Italian meats platter. Mains offer three types of pasta served in large bowls, a pizza selection, Polpettine al sugo di funghi di bosco (meatballs in home-made mushroom sauce) and several salads. An Italian Christmas would not be same without Panettone, served warm with Strega liqueur and vanilla ice cream, and Caramelised oranges.

Traditional Italian Christmas menus are available too, at either £17.95 or £25, both including a glass of Prosecco.

What's more, party organizers who book a Christmas party for a minimum of eight guests, will receive a special £40 gift to spend at Spaghetti House in the New Year.

Most Spaghetti House restaurants have private rooms and can offer a tailor-made package for parties small or large. With a friendly, welcoming and informal atmosphere, the restaurants are well suited to families dining together during the Christmas period, and provide an excellent choice of venues for friends and co-workers.

The 10 Spaghetti House are located at Woodstock Street, Bond St, W1, Goodge Street Fitzrovia W1, Bryanston Street near Marble Arch W1, Haymarket SW1, Knightsbridge SW1, Sicilian Avenue Holborn WC1, St Martin's Lane WC2, Duke Street W1, Cranbourn Street near Leicester Square WC2 and Bressenden Place Victoria SW1.
