First Class fare from Chutney Mary and Kingfisher Airlines

From October 2008, Chutney Mary's food gets a little closer to heaven and will be served to First Class passengers on all Kingfisher Airlines departures from London. This exciting partnership combines the best of the East with the best of West London!

This famous Indian restaurant on the Kings Road has always attracted jetsetters with its spectacular Indian dishes. No wonder then, bon vivant Vijay Mallya invited Chutney Mary to cater for its new daily flights to India's Financial and IT Capitals; Mumbai and Bangalore.

Tycoon Vijay Mallya's 'Harrods in the sky' aims to shake-up the luxury end of the aviation market and Kingfisher First Class offers passengers a complete luxury experience: in-seat massager, a bar with bar tender, seating areas with live TVs and of course, the star of the menu; the Royal Dawaat prepared in the Kings Road kitchens of award-winning Chutney Mary and served on a hand beaten silvered thali reminiscent of aristocratic India.

Back at Chutney Mary, Siddharth Krishna and his team of chefs, lives up to its reputation, with a menu that encompasses dishes from all over the subcontinent; everything from crispy rock shrimp with fresh red chilli and coriander to Kerala Pepper Roast Duck.

And to compliment the menu, there's the sumptuous décor. Scintillating in candlelight are silk wall hangings, hand embroidered with countless crystals from Swarovski, the legendary Austrian jeweller.

Result: a sumptuous Royal India ambience, worthy of Shah Jahan, who built the Taj Mahal and now Vijay Mallya, the man dubbed the 'Indian Richard Branson'.
