Customers of La Tasca are in for a treat this month as the
Spanish restaurant and bar group invites them to experience delicious
Spanish wines during its first ever Spanish Wine Festival, for less.
The festival, in conjunction with Wines from Spain, runs from 9 - 30
November across all La Tasca restaurants throughout the UK and will
feature 23 wines, from different regions of Spain.
Throughout the festival La Tasca will be offering customers £3
off bottles of all Spanish wines on La Tasca's wine list. With the
house wine price down from £12.95 to just £9.95 diners can
enjoy Spanish wines for unbelievably low prices. Each La Tasca
restaurant hosted its own wine tasting evening on Tuesday 10 November
and has invited members of La Tasca's online club to try all the
wines, for free.
The selection of tasting wines, carefully chosen by Wines from Spain,
include 'Torres Viña Sol', an elegant and fresh white wine
from Catalunya, 'Leiras Albariño', the 2009 Sommelier Awards'
gold medal winning white wine from the Rías Baixas region and
'Alidis Viña Mambrilla', a sumptuously smooth red from the
Tempranillo grape variety in Ribera del Duero region. The selected
wines hail from different parts of Spain and are a perfect match for
some of the new regionally inspired dishes on La Tasca's winter menu.
"The idea behind the wine festival was to encourage our
customers to try out different wines from lots of different regions
of Spain, but at affordable prices. Like Spanish food, the regional
variations in grapes mean there are broad taste differences between
wines from region to region. Our new Winter menu has been inspired by
authentic dishes from different parts of the Spain. By hosting the
wine festival we can give customers the chance to match specific
regional Spanish food with a local wine too." said Jo Cox, La
Tasca brand manager.
