Three of Glasgow's most popular Italian restaurants - Paperino's,
Paperino's West End and Paperino's@78 St Vincent - have introduced
their Christmas lunch and dinner menus offering customers a delicious
selection of freshly prepared traditional Italian dishes.
The mouth-watering selection of starters include: funghi fritti con
polenta (field mushrooms deep fried in polenta flour served with a
garlic dip); salmone marinato con dill aneto (homemade gravalax) and
ribollita (hearty Tuscan minestrone soup, with seasonal vegetables).
Mains, meanwhile, include: cozze alla panna (mussels in cream sauce
with a touch of lemon, served with garlic bread); tacchino natalizio
(traditional roast turkey, stuffed and rolled and served with roasted
vegetables); pizza con pomodoro brie and pancetta (foccacia pizza
topped with brie bacon and caramelised red onions) and penne alla
siciliana (with aubergines mozzarella tomato and basil).
Desserts include: budino natalizio (Christmas pudding with brandy
sauce); tiramisu (layers of coffee and zabaglione cream on a liqueur
soaked sponge dusted with cocoa powder) and affogato al caffe
(velvety vanilla ice cream coated in warm Italian espresso coffee).
Christmas at Paperino's is available at £19.95 for lunch and
