Just three
weeks after opening its doors, a Derby restaurant has exceeded even
its own ambitious expectations and has announced that it is now open
at lunchtimes to keep pace with customer demand.
Limes, which
opened its bar and bistro in November 2006 in the former Cooper Parry
building on Friar Gate, has proved a huge success with diners, thanks
to its diverse menu and the superior quality of its food, combined
with high levels of service - and its stylish, contemporary setting.
The
restaurant, which has 60 covers, was launched after the management
team identified a gap in the market for a city centre restaurant that
could provide superior quality food and a high level of service in a
unique ambience.
Since its
launch at the end of July, the restaurant has been fully booked
almost every night. As a result, Limes has recently extended its
opening hours to include lunchtime service from Wednesday to Friday.
A new three-course lunch menu has been introduced at just £11.95
per person, or two courses for £9.95, which is already proving
to be extremely popular with customers.
The evening
a-la-carte menu combines seasonal and local produce to create the
finest English and continental dishes, which are complemented by
homemade bread and appetisers to create a unique fine dining
experience. The restaurant's new private dining room is also proving
the perfect venue for a celebration for groups of up to 20.
Commenting on
the restaurant's success, restaurant manager, Abbas Zaidi said:
"We
are delighted with success that we have already achieved in such a
short space of time, which is a reflection of both the superior
quality of the food served by our head chef, Ian Boden and his team
and the high level of service provided by our waiting staff.
"We
have been particularly pleased by the feedback that we are receiving
and the number of recommendations that are being generated by word of
mouth. We already have established a regular clientele who are
booking weeks and even months in advance for intimate dinners for
two, larger gatherings of friends or just a business lunch.
"Our
aim now is to maintain the highest levels of service and keep
improving wherever we can so that our clients can enjoy a unique
experience every time they dine with us," added Abbas.
Limes Bar and
Restaurant already boasts an upstairs bar and bistro, a downstairs
bar with its own bar with its own dance floor and resident DJ on
Fridays and Saturdays which is available for hire on Sundays to
Thursdays.
