Latin Restaurant Group Launches New Single Estate Chilli Sauces

Las Iguanas, the Latin restaurant group, has collaborated with Bart Spices to launch two new organic, single estate chilli sauces.

The selection features Las Iguanas Organic Hot Chilli Sauce, an intensely piquant sauce with a distinctive berry-like fruity heat. Its fiery credentials are thanks to the use of Aji Limo chillies that grow as brick red lantern-shaped pods, traditionally used to accompany fish and chicken recipes.

Las Iguanas Organic Yellow Chilli Sauce is made from the Aji Amarillo chilli variety and has a fresh, zesty flavour with notes of caramel sweetness. The long pods are lemon yellow when ripe and dry to a rich mahogany. Use it in sauces and Peruvian dishes such as spicy chicken mole or white bean casserole.

Las Iguanas will be featuring the new sauces on every table in the company's 19-strong restaurant portfolio. Both sauces have been developed to complement the company's unique fusion cuisine that blends Latin American Indian, Spanish, Portuguese and African influences.

Xinxim (Brazilian lime chicken), Moqueca (Brazilian mild curry) and new hit Pescado Con Coco (fresh haddock and Chilean blue mussels in coconut and saffron) are just some of the menu highlights.

Made in the UK using Bart's spice expertise, the key ingredients are sourced from Peru's Topara Valley. The chillies are grown especially for Bart Spices where long standing relationships with a farming family secures the very best pods. The region's climate creates optimum conditions for chilli production where Pacific sunshine mixes with moist air created by Andean mountain storms.

Available to buy from Las Iguanas restaurants, delicatessens, food halls and direct from bartspices.com, the new Organic Chilli Sauces are priced £2.49 (RRP) for 150ml. A box set of both sauces is priced at £5 (RRP).
