F Word Chef
Visits Brilliant

It was a Thursday night but the famous Brilliant restaurant in Southall was even more full than usual. And the reason - F Word and Hell's Kitchen TV star chef Gordan Ramsay was known to be in the kitchen learning about cooking Indian food.

Whilst Gulu Anand and daughter Dipna, already described as 'the Indian Jamie Oliver' , flitted between kitchen and the demands of front of house, the volatile chef was spending 6 hours in the kitchen under the watchful lenses of a Channel 4 camera team. The occasion was for a new television series where Gordan Ramsay teaches the Nation to Cook. On this occasion it was Indian cuisine, the night before it had been sushi.

"I wanted to start with the best," commented a hot looking Ramsay when asked why the Brilliant, and had nothing but praise for the award-winning restaurant. When it came time for a rapid departure for a few hours rest before flying off the USA, the popular chef appeared briefly behind the bar raising a cheer from the packed customers.

Having acted host to Prince Charles and his wife not long ago, and more recently London Mayor Boris Johnson, the visit of Gordan Ramsay adds to the list of celebrities who have enjoyed dining at the Brilliant.
