The Credit Crunch Doesn't Have To Take The Warmth Out Of Winter Dining

Farfalle pasta, Tuscan sausage, porcini and Roman steak&ldots; this winter diners have a choice of which taste of hearty Italian cuisine to indulge in at Zizzi Ristorante with main courses for under £10.

The unpretentious, comfort food menu has been created by Head Chef Angelo Garofalo. Slow roasted aubergine, roast chicken, pancetta and fresh rosemary are some of the high quality, fresh ingredients that feature this winter at Zizzi Ristorante.

The delicious food, prepared with passion, explores both traditional and contemporary Italian food trends and revisits staples like Risotto Al Funghi Con Pollo, creamy wild mushrooms, roasted chicken and fresh rosemary. Angelo has also created satisfying desserts such as Torte Zizzi a warm plum, almond, fig and pistachio tart with vanilla ice cream to complete the menu. In addition, 26 of the ristorante's are offering a carne menu of grilled meats and fish dishes such as Seabass Pacchetto and Agnello al Forno.

The selection of food is complemented by an inviting choice of Italian wines, chosen by Adrian Garforth, Master of Wine. From Trebbiano to Fiano Settesoli to Primitivo and Chianti, there is a wine and price to suit all tastes. The list includes little gems such as Pinot Grigio Marat, made from a single grape harvest where the grapes are picked at night to conserve more of the delicate fruit flavours and complexity which characterise the wine.

Head Chef, Angelo Garofalo comments on the menu; "Italian food is all about fantastic ingredients, simply prepared that shouldn't cost the earth. If you start with great food, a great dish can be created and that is what we believe in."

So, fight the credit crunch with excellent value food and experience the warmth of the Zizzi welcome. The open wood roasting pizza oven will take away the chill of the British weather so you can enjoy Zizzi's Italian kitchen, for under £10.

Zizzi was established in 2000 as an authentic Italian experience in a contemporary restaurant environment. Zizzi prides itself on having an extensive, authentic Italian menu in its 100 restaurants. The restaurants are elegant, stylish and perfect for special occasions.
