NORTH EAST
charity Charlie Bear for Cancer Care - The Daisy Appeal benefited
last week from an evening of Bollywood glamour as revellers
generously donated money to the worthy cause.
The evening,
held at Newcastle's Spice Cube, raised £1234.00 for the charity
as Indian dancers, magicians and DJs entertained guests as they
enjoyed a three course gourmet meal created by acclaimed Head Chef
Dinesh Rawat.
"It was a
wonderful evening enjoyed by everyone who attended, the food was
fantastic and the entertainment was superb" said Charlie Bear
Assistant Angie Taylor.
"The
money raised will contribute towards new equipment, patient
facilities, research, and health promotion projects for people across
the whole of the North East. We'd like to thank everyone who
generously donated and made the evening such a special event."
continued Angie.
Charlie Bear
is the designated charity for the Northern Centre for Cancer
Treatment (NCCT) - the main cancer treatment facility in the North
East addressing 62,000 cases each year. The charity aims to enhance
the quality of patient care at the NCCT based at Newcastle General Hospital.
