Inspired by
the Bengal tiger, a graceful big cat which lives in the forests,
grassland swamps of Southern Asia, the Green Bengal offers a fresh
approach to Asian cuisine.

Owner Zia
Choudhury, opened the up market eaterie in a blaze of publicity which
drew over 200 VIP guests including 'big' Sam Allardyce, the genial
Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton and Senegalese Bolton striker El-Hadji
Diouf.
A donation of
£1,000 to Sam's chosen FITC Drugs and Awareness charity kicked
off a raffle which also helped raise money for the Mayor's chosen
charity, Bolton Hospice.
To add to the
authentic Asian ambience renowned classical musician 'Taz Lodhi'
entertained guests with a wide repertoire on the sitar. |

"If you
will pardon the pun the opening was a roaring success", said Zia.
"We have
worked incredibly hard to get this venture off the ground and it has
been overwhelming to receive such a high level of support."
"It was
just purr-fect!"
