The
Tonbridge office of Vantis Corporate Finance has arranged and managed
the sale of La Pizza Company, the manufacturer of frozen and
part-baked speciality bakery products, based in Midhurst, West Sussex.
La Pizza
Company was established in 1993 and provides part-baked pizzas, dough
balls and related foods for restaurants, schools, takeaways and
hotels across the UK. All products are free of preservatives and GM
products and their range of wood-fired pizzas were recognised by the
PAPA awards.
The company
has been bought by a buy-in management buy-out team in a deal that
secures the future of the company's 17 employees and continued growth
of a business that has been established since 1993 and has built a
first-class reputation in the market.
Vantis
introduced a number of potential buyers before helping the retiring
partners, Pietro and Rachel Vitolo to decide that the buy-in buy-out
team led by Richard Jansen offered the best future for the business
and its staff. Vantis then negotiated terms and managed the
transaction to completion.
Pietro Vitolo
said "We were convinced from the first meeting that Richard
Jansen's experience would make him the right candidate to manage the
enormous potential that exists to grow our business, when coupled
with our two most experienced managers, Chris Dickinson, the current
general manager and Bob Ives, the company's technical advisor."
Colin Harvey,
director of Vantis, commented "La Pizza Company is an excellent,
well managed business with enormous future potential as a result of
its superb products, which are finding their way into more and more
restaurants in the high street. We enjoyed working with Pietro and
firmly believe the business is in good hands going forward."
La Pizza
Company retained London lawyers Duane Morris (Ray Smyth). Richard
Jansen was advised by Watersheds (Sue Green and Jane Seaton) and was
represented by solicitors Thring Townsend (Julian George) from their
Swindon office.
