Top Chefs Take Centre Stage At The Restaurant Show

The UK's leading chefs will be taking to The Stage at this years' Restaurant Show, to showcase their talents with a packed schedule of inspirational workshops, debates and demonstrations.

Tom Aikens will be joined by his twin bother, Robert, for a demonstration double act; the team from Roka and Zuma - Nic Watt, Ross Shonhan and Yoshi Muranaka - will be presiding over a tuna masterclass; Gary Klaner, executive chef at The Landmark, will focus on seasonal produce, showcasing British dishes from the Winter Garden; Jun Tanaka, who has headed up the kitchen at Pearl since its opening in June 2004, will be showcasing "a Taste of Pearl"; and Mark Rossi, one of Michael Caines' rising stars, will be demonstrating the importance of simple dishes using the best local ingredients.

One-O-One's Pascal Proyart will be demonstrating the versatility of the Norwegian Red King Crab, with a live specimen on stage. Continuing with the live animal theme, Chef Rob Kirby will illustrate the importance of good meat selection and a whole animal approach to cooking, alongside Farmer Sharp and his sheep, Shaun.

Sustainability is a key theme for the industry and celebrated environmental chef, Barny Haughton will discuss the issues of running his eco restaurant, Bordeaux Quay at the show. Covering themes of food miles, sustainability and organic produce, this promises to be both a stimulating and practical debate.
