Masala Zone
restaurants are have announced that their latest branch in Covent
Garden has opened next to the Royal Opera House (48 Floral Street,
Covent Garden, London, WC2E 9DA. Renowned for their delicious,
authentic, wholesome Indian dishes, Masala Zone ensures great value
quality food for around £13 per person.
In the middle
of one of the most popular tourist areas of London, Masala Zone
Covent Garden will serve balanced dishes for all the family from
thalis to noodle bowls, curry and rice to street food.
This latest
branch seats a total of 120 people including space for 30 covers in
the downstairs private room, which will open in October. In keeping
with the neighbouring Royal Opera House, the brightly coloured walls
are accentuated by hundreds of Indian puppets from Rajasthan hanging
from the ceiling in the main dining room. The private room's walls
have been adorned with beautiful masks of the Chhau dancers of Bihar,
India - making for a stunning setting for a delicious meal and the
perfect place for a party.
The open
kitchen allows diners to watch their food being prepared and the
scents of the spices tease taste buds. Tables are set to seat
couples, small and large groups who can watch the world go by through
the huge pane glass windows.
The menu will
serve the delicious home-style dishes that Masala Zone has built its
reputation on. With plenty of choice for meat eaters, fish lovers and
vegetarians, the eatery has also thought about diabetics by carefully
preparing the Ayurvedic Thali using specific low Gi ingredients.
Children are also catered for with their own menu - a thali or
chicken wrap and ice cream for just £3.75.
All dishes are
freshly prepared in-house, including all chutneys, naans and rotis
and all meat is delivered fresh daily to ensure that quality is not
compromised and that the food is as healthy as possible. All dishes
use as little oil and ghee as possible and Masala Zone is keen for
diners to be able to enjoy an Indian meal while not consuming excess fats.
As with the
existing branches in Soho, Islington and Earls Court, Masala Zone
Covent Garden has a no-bookings policy so that customers can drop in
any time and eat. The private room can be hired in advance.
The delivery
service will also be available offering food freshly prepared in
Masala Zone's kitchens. Available throughout the day and covering
most of central London, the delivery service offers all of customers'
favourite dishes and delivery is free on orders over £10 (25%
discount is available for lunch orders over £40).
