Merseyside curry fans have proved nothing is too hot handle after
visiting 34 curry houses in 24 hours.
Crosby's Paul O'Keefe, 19, and
brother-in-law Wayne Foy, 29, from Ellesmere Port, ended their Oxfam
charity challenge at the Spice Lounge in Liverpool's Albert Dock.
Their journey began in Bradford,
before passing through Leeds, Manchester and Warrington ending in Liverpool.
Culinary delights included the
Tindaloo, a curry three times stronger than a Vindaloo.
The pair raised over £500 in
sponsorship and were given £500 by XXX Mints, sponsors of
National Curry Week in November, who organised the challenge. Paul
added: "My tongue is numb now from all the curries; I can't
wait to get back home and eat a pork pie."
