Kai's Sumptuous Peking Duck Feast Brings A Taste Of Beijing To Mayfair & Wins Award

With the Beijing Olympics a great success, Kai Mayfair, one of the capital's favourite Chinese restaurants, is delighted to present a unique new menu based around the host city's most celebrated delicacy: Peking Duck.

For a limited time only, Kai's unmissable feast pays homage to the traditional approach to this legendary dish. The menu utilizes each part of the duck in its creation. The variety of different flavours and textures demonstrates the versatility of the flavoursome duck.

Kai's Beijing Duck Menu comprises Five Spice & Red Tea Marinated Duck Breast with Jellyfish and Sesame Oil Salad; Traditional Peking Duck with Pancakes; Digestive Duck Gazpacho; Chopped Duck Cooked with Chili and Yellow Bean Sauce Served with Poached Egg Noodles and finally Minced Duck, Coriander, Water Chestnut and Shallot Pastry.

Rounded off with a pot of refreshing Dark Pu'Er Tea, this very special feast costs £65 per person (minimum of two people).

 Award

Under the command of Head Chef Alex Chow, who joined Kai in 2005 after a distinguished career in many of the great five star hotel kitchens of South East Asia, Kai Mayfair is continuing to satisfy the inquisitive palates of the most discerning and adventurous foodies. Kai Mayfair is London's top Chinese restaurant, according to the latest annual survey conducted for Harden's London Restaurants 2009 edition, the 18th edition of which has just been published.

In addition, voters awarded Kai the accolade of the third best restaurant in London in the £60-£79 per head category, across all cuisines.

Harden's London Restaurants 2009 rated the restaurant 1 (Exceptional) for food. The Harden's bestseller, viewed by many as the discerning London restaurant goer's bible, says that Kai Mayfair "inspires the highest acclaim", describing its culinary offering as "stunning and beautifully presented" and "backed up by a premium wine list".

The recipient of a host of other accolades, including the 2006 Time Out's Critics´ Choice Award, Kai Mayfair continues to justify its reputation as one of the capital's finest Chinese restaurants, a place where the most discerning and adventurous foodies come to satisfy their palates.
