Tayyab's, Tayyab's in Whitechapel took on the might of London's top
Indian restaurants in the London Restaurant Awards and beat them.
Lined up
alongside Michelin starred Quilon and Amaya amongst others, the 34
year old no alcohol restaurant grabbed the title underlining the
importance of value for money alongside quality.
Gary Yau's
Aaya unsurprisingly took the oriental title from regulars such as
Royal China and Umu.

Harden's new
awards disagreed, placing the upmarket and pricy Vineet Bhatia's
Rasoi at the top of the tree commenting: Harden's describes Rasoi as
&ldots;&ldots;.Sublime and zingy spicing creates "1001
intoxicating flavours" for visitors to Vineet Bhatia's
"tucked-away" Chelsea townhouse - a "bizarre"
home for such a pre-eminent "nouvelle-Indian"; prices are
"sky high, though".
